What is the material of aluminum factory insulation ceramic fiber blanket PLUS blanket? From the perspective of material essence and process, ceramic fiber blanket (including PLUS blanket) is a flexible fire-resistant insulation material made from high-purity raw materials (such as alumina, silica, etc.) melted at high temperature in a resistance furnace, made into fibers through wire spinning or spraying process, and then processed by needle punching or stacking process.

The ceramic fiber blanket PLUS blanket (also known as zirconium containing ceramic fiber blanket) used in aluminum plants is an upgraded high-temperature needle punched blanket containing zirconia (ZrO ₂) on the basis of ordinary aluminum silicate fiber blanket. It is designed for high temperature and strong corrosion conditions such as aluminum electrolytic cells and aluminum melting furnaces at 1000-1350 ℃.

Application effect of PLUS blanket ceramic fiber blanket in aluminum plants:

1. Anti aluminum liquid erosion
PLUS blanket can be selected with a zirconium based formula (adding 15-17% ZrO ₂), with a classification temperature of up to 1430 ℃, which can effectively resist the erosion of aluminum liquid and fluoride vapor, especially suitable for vulnerable parts such as the side of aluminum electrolytic cells and the door of aluminum melting furnaces.
2. Low heat capacity, significant energy saving
Low thermal conductivity can firmly lock in the heat inside the furnace. Practical application shows that a certain aluminum enterprise has reduced the heat loss in the furnace door area by 65% and saved over 2 million yuan in energy costs annually after adopting zirconium containing ceramic fiber blankets.

The bulk density is only 96-128kg/m ³, which significantly reduces the load on the steel structure of the furnace compared to traditional refractory materials.
