Three key principles for selection (avoiding pitfalls)
1. Match density according to usage temperature
Temperature ≤ 1000 ℃: Priority should be given to selecting 200-280kg/m ³, taking into account both insulation and economy;
Temperature range of 1000-1300 ℃: recommended 280-350kg/m ³, balancing high temperature stability and insulation efficiency;
Temperature>1300 ℃ or short-term high temperature impact: Choose 350-450kg/m ³ to ensure that the material does not shrink or fall off.
2. Judging based on the force situation
Just need insulation, no stress: choose 200-240kg/m ³ (such as filling, back insulation);
Under slight pressure or airflow erosion: choose 280-300kg/m ³ (such as ordinary kiln lining);
Load bearing, impact resistant or strong erosion resistant: choose 300kg/m ³ or above (such as furnace doors, kiln car platforms).
3. Combining construction and cost optimization
Large area laying, requiring cutting and splicing: choose 240-280kg/m ³, flexible construction and controllable cost;
Irregular structure, customized size: medium to high density (280-350kg/m ³) has better processing performance and is not easily damaged;
Long term use (≥ 5 years): High density boards are preferred to reduce maintenance and replacement costs in the later stages.
