The fire resistance temperature performance level of ceramic fiber blanket is determined by its main chemical composition ratio, and is usually divided into multiple levels based on long-term safe use temperature. Introduction to the Five Grades of Ceramic Fiber Blankets:

1. Ordinary type (STD ordinary aluminum, coke gemstone raw material, Al ₂ O ∝ ≈ 42%~45%)
Classification temperature: 1100 ℃
Usage: Low temperature boiler, exhaust pipe, insulation for room temperature equipment, fireproof coating for buildings, insulation for the outer layer of low-temperature kilns
2. Standard/High Purity Type (HP High Purity, Low Iron, Low Alkali High Purity Material, Al ₂ O ∝ ≈ 45%~47%)
Classification temperature: 1260 ℃
Usage: Mainstream insulation for heat treatment furnaces, metallurgical medium temperature furnaces, power plant pipelines, and petrochemical equipment (with the largest market usage)
3. High alumina type (HA high alumina, synthetic alumina raw material, Al ₂ O ∝ ≥ 55%~60%)
Classification temperature: 1360 ℃
Usage: Ceramic kiln, forging furnace, aluminum plant roasting furnace, inner layer of high-temperature hot air pipeline
4. Zirconium aluminum type (composite zirconium aluminum)
Classification temperature: 1380 ℃
Usage: Intermittent high-temperature kiln, furnace door sealing
5. Zirconium containing type (ZA zirconium containing, with ZrO ₂ ≥ 15% added, high-end grade)
Classification temperature: 1430 ℃
Usage: Lining for glass kilns, petrochemical cracking furnaces, high-temperature heat treatment furnaces, and ultra-high temperature equipment above 1300 ℃

Precautions for selecting the fire resistance temperature performance grade of ceramic fiber blanket:

1. Matching temperature: The preferred basis is the maximum temperature at which the equipment operates for a long time, ensuring that the continuous use temperature of the material is higher than this value and leaving a certain margin.
2. Distinguish the concept of temperature: When purchasing, it is necessary to require third-party testing reports, with a focus on long-term temperature indicators.
3. Graded materials: High temperature zone (>1200 ℃) uses high aluminum or zirconium containing type, medium temperature zone (900-1200 ℃) standard/high-purity type has high cost-effectiveness, and ordinary type can be used for backing or low temperature zone (<900 ℃).
4. Notice for initial heating: When the new blanket is heated to the range of 200-400 ℃ for the first time, there may be slight smoking, which is caused by the volatilization of a small amount of organic matter in the material and is a normal phenomenon that does not affect its use.
