Industrial material insulation ceramic fiber board installation tutorial

A general installation tutorial for ceramic fiber boards in industrial sites (including tools, steps, node methods, common errors, and acceptance points), suitable for kilns, pipelines, and equipment backing insulation.

Construction process of ceramic fiber board (standard sequence):
Grassroots treatment → Material pretreatment → Setting out → Cutting → Bonding/anchoring → Misalignment paving → Grouting and sealing → Corner/hole treatment → Acceptance

Detailed installation steps for ceramic fiber board
1. Grassroots handling (key!)
Requirement: Flat, clean, dry, and free from looseness.
2. Material pretreatment (anti cracking)
Handle with care and do not drop or smash. Damaged edges and corners may cause high-temperature cracking.
3. Layout positioning
Pop up the reference line and board seam line according to the drawing; Arrange from bottom to top and from the middle to all sides.
4. Cutting (dust-free, neat)
Use a specialized cutting knife/diamond saw blade to cut at a constant speed; Ordinary electric saws are prohibited from dry cutting (due to high dust and falling debris).
5. Adhesive preparation (according to manufacturer’s instructions)
Stir evenly, with moderate consistency, and can be applied without cracking; Mix and use as needed.
6. Laying and fixing (two methods, industrial priority “bonding+anchoring”)
Method A: Bonding+Mechanical Anchoring (Recommended for Kilns/Vibration Equipment)
Method B: Pure Paste (flat, low vibration equipment)
7. Misalignment and layering (leak proof, anti cracking)
Upper and lower layers: staggered seams ≥ 100mm, avoiding through seams.
Same layer: Leave 1-2mm at the joint and fill the joint with high-temperature sealant/alumina powder.
Corner: Cut 45 ° splicing or “L-shaped” whole board, and it is strictly prohibited to have right angle butt joints with gaps.
8. Special node processing
Corner/Corner: Cut and wrap the entire board, compact the inside and sew the outside incorrectly.
Burner/hole: Use a whole piece of board around the hole, with a slightly smaller cut, and seal the joint with sealant after fitting.
Pipeline insulation: staggered in the circumferential direction, aligned in the longitudinal direction, with a stainless steel tie every 300mm.
9. Surface treatment (optional, anti erosion/extended lifespan)
High temperature surface: Apply fire-resistant hardening coating, thin coat twice, with an interval of 4-6 hours.
Watering and maintenance are strictly prohibited; Let it air dry naturally.
